Reoccupying empty buildings presents risk. Making sure that all of your statutory compliance is up to date is a vital first step; including your water, gas, air conditioning, ventilation, fire alarms, emergency lighting and importantly, your electrical services too.

Getting all your electrical services and appliances checked and tested by a qualified electrician before your return is highly recommended, because it will protect your occupants and your building, and you must ensure that your emergency lighting system operates if your normal lighting fails.

You should use an NICEIC accredited company and skilled and competent engineers and you will then receive a detailed test and inspection certificate, complete with a prioritised list of any remedial work required.

Depending upon the size of your building, our costs for an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) starts from around £150 +VAT, so contact DMA Group on sales@dma-group.co.uk for any advice and support.
