The Challenge
Working in airside environment provides its obvious challenges, as does working with one of the world’s foremost retail brands. We provided a retail lighting solution to showcase the customer’s goods for sale. We were tasked to undertake the design development, regulatory compliance, equipment selection, services coordination and the installation to 16 display cabinets, an architectural glass portal doorway and bespoke ceiling panels.
The Solution
The design development, installation, project co-ordination, final testing and commissioning delivered via in-house teams, whilst maximising offsite fabrication as far as practical.
The Outcome
- Onsite engineering team familiar with air-side working environment
- Understanding the restrictions working meant minimal impact on BAA team’s time and effort
- Understanding Airport process alleviated any possible time lost on program and planning
